Logan Carter Obituary
Mr. Logan Garrett Carter, age 30, of 492 Williford Road, Union, passed away as a result of injuries sustained in a automobile accident, Wednesday, November 20, 2024.
Mr. Carter was born in Spartanburg, September 2, 1994, the son of the Perry Dean Carter of Auburn, MA and Melody Burgess Yon of Union. He was a graduate of Union County High School, worked in manufacturing and was a member of Fairview Baptist Church. Mr. Carter loved the outdoors, especially fishing and loved to weld. He was an avid tinkerer and enjoyed grilling outdoors.
Surviving are his mother, Melody Burgess Yon and husband Chad Yon, his father Perry Dean Carter. He is also survived by a brother, Andrew Carter, his wife, Ginalee and a nephew, Mason all of Auburn, MA. Other survivors are his maternal grandmother, Elaine Burgess, an aunt Charity Howard and an uncle, Willie Bill Burgess and his wife Nikki. He was loved by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Mr. Carter was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, W.C. "Billy" Burgess, his paternal grandparents, Harold "Bobby" Carter and Mary "Neely" Carter and two uncles, Glenn Howard and Carrol Luke Burgess.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 23, 2024 at Fairview Baptist Church at 11 AM conducted by Rev. Guy Langston. The family will receive friends prior to the service at the church from 9 AM until 11 AM. Interment will follow in the Burgess Cemetery on Williford Road in Union.
Active pallbearers will be Mason Carter, Johnny Howard, Dakota Howard, Blain Floyd, Justin Cool, and Billy Burgess.
The family would like to thank the Union Medical Center doctors and staff, and the Union County EMS staff for caring for Logan following this accident. A huge thank you to Miranda Jack, who has been a devoted friend to Melody particularly in the hours and days following the accident.
Memorials may be made to Crohn's & Colitis Foundation, 1100 S Mint St., Charlotte, NC 28203.
The family will be at the home of his grandmother, Elaine Burgess, 124 Williford Road, Union, SC.
