Loved ones of the late Lois Imogene Billbe mourn her passing at Heritage Health Care after a brief illness on May 29, 2024. Lois was born on April 1, 1936, in Coyville, Kansas, to Clarence Klauman and Ethel Hasty. She spent her formative years on the family farm, receiving her education in rural schools.
In 1953, Lois exchanged vows with Dean Billbe, and together they cherished 62 beautiful years until Dean's departure in 2015. As a devoted homemaker, Lois managed the household and played an integral role in raising her grandchildren. Her passion for exploring new destinations led her and Dean on numerous adventures.
Her children will fondly remember Lois: Cathy (Gary) Catterson of Chanute, KS; Jerry (Johnnie) Billbe of Wellsville; Linda (Dins) Laver of Azle, TX; and Richard (Katrina) Billbe of Phoenix, AZ. She was also blessed with 10 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Sadly preceding Lois in death are her parents, husband Dean Billbe; sister Eunice Thornton; brothers Neal, Bob, Wayne, and Elvin Klauman; as well as son-in-law Jonh Laver. Memorials in Lois's honor may be directed to ACARF and can be left with or mailed to the funeral home.
A memorial graveside will be held at a later date. Our hearts go out to all who had the privilege of knowing Lois Imogene Billbe during her remarkable journey through life. May she rest in eternal peace.
