Our beloved mother, Lois Marie Crivello passed away on April 10th, 2022. She was born on June 7th, 1931.
She came out to the Northwest with her parents, Jim and Ruby Blubaugh, leaving from Blackwell Oklahoma with two brothers and 3 sisters, settling down in Puyallup, to start a new life and she did exactly that.
Decades ago, Lois graduated from Puyallup High School and met her future husband at a dance, the two fell in love and soon were married.
In store for a big Catholic family of 4 boys and 4 girls kept her very busy for many years.
Lois Crivello was truly an amazing woman, by any standard, the mother of eight children and the loving wife of Tom Crivello, who passed away 11 years ago.
She loved and cherished her huge custom home which her, and Tom built in the late 60 ties to better house their large family. This home was her castle, a dream come true, and she treated it as such. Her home was always clean, never any dust or dirt in sight. Her home was decked out for every holiday with many custom-made decorations.
She was an awesome cook and awesome artist as well, working with stained glass, ceramics, and producing up-scale hand painted porcelain dolls of exquisite beauty. She clothed her dolls with amazing hand sown designs to match the age of the doll. The finished dolls were astonishingly beautiful, ruffled shirts, fancy pants, and jacket, all dressed and smiling.
She was an extraordinary seamstress making amazing clothes for her children and business suits for her husband, also custom curtains, and drapes for her home. Spending hundreds of hours over the years being the artist that she loved being.
Holidays were always special for her, and it showed, magnificent feasts were the order of the day with homemade canned goods, pies and cookies. Delicious Italian food and lots of it eased many a hunger brought to the dinner table.
She loved to go hang out at the ocean and dig razor clam limits, come back home and feast on them. She at times also enjoyed fishing excursions with her husband and Chanterelle mushroom hunting, she used them in her spaghetti sauce. Was a heck of a baker for pies, cookies, and breads. She also put up some of the best dill pickles you will ever take a bite out of. In essence she was simply an amazingly talented woman for her immediate family and her husband and grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her legacy is 17 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Tom, her parents and 2 brothers and 2 sisters, her first born son Steve, and her third born son Ron.
Lois is survived by her children- Dr. James Crivello, Tina Crivello Adler (Dan), Larry Crivello (Carol), Nancy Crivello Muscatell (Jim), Susan Crivello Mauss (Tim), Tamera Crivello. 17 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. She is already missed by many who knew her.
