Lois Marie Davenport (Gary), born on January 3, 1958, in Houston, Texas, passed away peacefully on September 10, 2025, in Liberty Hill, Texas. She was 67 years old.

Lois was a proud Texan with Cajun roots, born to Moise and Doris Gary. She grew up surrounded by the warmth of family and carried that love with her throughout her life. Her vibrant spirit and boundless energy left an indelible mark on all who knew her.

She is lovingly remembered by her twin sister Joyce Evans (James), sister Sharon Doherty (Gary), and brother Keith Gary (Donna). Lois's deep devotion to her family was evident in the lives of her children: daughter Joni Rush; sons Billy Rush (Allyson) and Jay Rush (Sarah); daughters Loren Everts (Howard) and Jennifer Hernandez. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Amber Rush, Kaleb Seyferth, Ashton Ratliff, Preston Ratliff, Landin Adams, Jayden Adams, Zoey Ratliff, Riley Rush, Lily Rush, Pete Garay III, Timmy Garza, Dillan Hill, and Gregory Hill. She also leaves behind great-grandchildren Ethan, Isaiah, Lucas, and Kian.

Lois was preceded in death by her beloved parents Moise and Doris Gary; her brother Tony Gary; her son Jerry Don Ratliff III; and daughter-in-law Wendy Ratliff.

A woman of many passions, Lois found joy in baking sweet treats for those she loved. Her kitchen was often filled with the comforting aroma of homemade delights. She had a zest for life that shone through in her love of dancing-whether at family gatherings or simply around the house-and she cherished time spent horseback riding under the wide Texas sky. Above all else, Lois treasured moments shared with family and friends. Her home was a place of laughter and love.

Her contagious smile and laughter will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

May her memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her.

Memorial Service will be held in Ganado on Saturday, October 4th, 2025 at 2:00pm.
