Lois Janet Hendricks, 84, of
Myrtle Beach, SC, passed away peacefully at home on January 31, 2026. Born on January 2, 1942 in
Monaville, WV, she was the daughter of the late Woodrow Wilson and Lois Alberta Sexton.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Larry Hendricks; son, Michael 'Bear' Hendricks; sister, Priscilla Ann Sexton Kirk (O'Dell); and son-in-law, Patrick Rawlings.
Janet was a 1959 graduate of Logan High School (Logan, WV). She, along with her husband, were the owners of Wiley & Nolan Distributing. She was also a licensed realtor with Century 21 of Logan and for several years worked in medical records at Charleston Area Medical Center.
She is survived by one daughter with whom she made her home, Amy Rawlings; sons, Todd (Eileen) Hendricks of
Myrtle Beach, SC and Donovan (Robin) Hendricks of Little River, SC; grandchildren, Haley (Ronnie) Porter, Michaela (David) Weese, Sgt. Cameron Hendricks and Donovan 'D-Rock' Hendricks; great-grandchildren, Jaxon, Trey, Brody and Teagan Porter; nephew, Mark (Jackie) Kirk; great-nephew, Jordon Kirk; daughter-in-law, Connie Burke Hendricks Bradley; uncle, Donald Sexton; special cousin whom she was very close to, John Boswell.
In addition to her family, Janet leaves behind a group of very special friends back home in West Virginia who are too numerous to list as well as her friend and caregiver in Myrtle Beach, Eileen Giampaolo.
Janet was a Christian and longtime member of the First Church of Christ in
Chapmanville, WV. She was very involved with her church's Ladies' Group. She was also a volunteer with the Logan Regional Medical Center and member of the Red Hat Society.
She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and loyal friend. She was an excellent cook and loved hosting friends & family. Always gracious to those who entered her home, she greeted everyone with a warm, friendly smile. She was a skilled fisherman and, over the years, made many memorable trips to the Greenbrier River with her family. And most recently, she took great joy in attending the school and sports activities of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A celebration of Janet's life will be held at 12:00 pm Wednesday, February 4, 2026 at Burroughs Funeral Home, 3558 Old Kings Highway, Murrells Inlet, SC. Burial will follow at Ocean Woods Memorial Cemetery in
Myrtle Beach, SC, with Chaplain Scott Cianciolo officiating.
