Lois Johnson, 96, of Levelland, TX passed from this life on Sunday November 30, 2025. Lois was born in Loraine, TX to Luke and Mary (née Clifton) Finley on April 28, 1929 where the family farmed. After graduating from Loraine High School, Lois attended Hardin-Simmons University for a time before eventually moving to Andrews TX. She lived in Andrews for many years before moving to Levelland in 1970. In 1974, Lois met Johnny Johnson in Levelland and they married in 1975. Lois worked for many years at Cook Memorial hospital in Levelland, before she and Johnny started and operated L&J Services together. She and Johnny loved being together traveling, dancing and enjoying each other’s company. They spent many happy times at their cabin in Ruidoso NM relaxing and enjoying the mountains. She loved being with her children and grandchildren and was always up for a good game of cards, Uno, SkipBo or dominos. She was an amazing cook, and loved to decorate and cook and have her family for holidays. She especially loved the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays and always made them special for her family.
In addition to her husband, who she loved so dearly, Lois is survived by her sister Nelda Snow of Houston, TX, daughter Mary Ann Evans and husband Tom of Millersview, TX, son Ronald Jackson and wife Jena, of Anderson, TX, grandson Kenneth Thompson of Blue, AZ, granddaughter Molly Mohler of Whitney, TX, granddaughter Shannon (Jonathan) Spoon of Cypress, TX, granddaughter Chelsea (Matt) Humphreys of Kingwood, TX and grandson Jake (Soni) of Reno, NV and 11 great/great-great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the many people who helped care for Lois over the last several years.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Krestridge Funeral Home in Levelland, TX. There will be a graveside service for the immediate family on December 6, 2025. Services with integrity, pride, and honor are under the direction of Krestridge Funeral Home. (806) 897-1111.
