Lois Luckner Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Bellmore Funeral Home, Inc. - North Bellmore on Dec. 27, 2025.
Lois McNamara Luckner passed away peacefully on December 26, 2025, after a brief illness. She was 93 1/2 years old.

Lois was deeply loved by her family and by the many people whose lives she touched throughout her long and meaningful life. She was preceded in death by her husband, Nicholas Luckner, who passed in 1998; her parents, James and Louise McNamara; and her brother, James McNamara.

She is survived by her five children: Ginny Marschall (Bob), Nick Luckner (Colleen), Michael Luckner (Lori), Louise Bijesse (Bruce), and Lois Clinco (Billy). She is also survived by her younger sister, Kay Plankl (Walter). Lois was a proud and loving grandmother to 16 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

Lois found joy in her family, her many friends, and the animals she cared for over the years, especially Smokey and Mittens. She was a devoted member of the NBFD Co#1 Ladies Auxiliary, serving for an extraordinary 65 years. She also enjoyed caffeine free Pepsi, video poker machines, and the color blue.

Lois showed her love through her loyalty, her caring nature, and simply being there for those she loved. She was steady, dependable, and deeply devoted to her family.

Her family is grateful for her life, the examples she set, and the opportunity to spend her final days with her. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation or the C0lorectal Cancer Alliance will be appreciated.
