Lois Minton Obituary
Lois Jean Davis Minton, age 87, of Barbourville, Kentucky, formerly of Middlesboro, Kentucky, went to her heavenly home on November 18, 2024, surrounded by family, after a long, courageous battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. She was born in Rose Hill, Virginia on April 30, 1937, to the late Leslie Lloyd “Bud” Davis and Margaret Helen Barnes Davis.
In addition to her parents, Lois was preceded in death by her husband Curtis Monroe Minton; daughters, Margaret Ann Partin and Terry Lynn Minton; siblings, James “Jimbo” Davis, Susan “Susie” Davis, William “Casey” Davis, Janice Davis, Ronald “Ronnie” Davis, and Glenn Davis; mother-in-law, Debra “Debbie” Minton and great-grandson, Adam Laymon Jackson.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Linda Minton and fiancé, Tuell Newson, Jerry Minton, Ronnie Minton, and Donnie Minton and fiancé, Gina Taylor; grandchildren, Rhonda Asher, Crystal Lefevers, Tammy Jackson, Randy Buell Jr., Shawn Buell, Curtis Minton, Jessica Minton Campbell, Tanner Minton, and Ronnie Minton Jr.; great-grandchildren, Josh Asher and wife, also special friend Breanna Asher, Ashley Maggard, Michael Jackson Jr., Madison Jackson, Sophia Lefevers, Sierra Lefevers, Curtis Minton Jr., Kayson Minton, Sebastian, Daxton, Karsen, and Easton Minton Jasmine, Gracie, Conner, Dalton, and Kaylee Campbell; siblings, Lucilla “Bet” Davis, Walter Davis, Brenda Wilford and special brother, Junior and wife Trula Davis; as well as a host of great-great- grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends.
The family of Lois Minton would like to extend a special thank you to the Barbourville Nursing Home, Barbourville A.R.H, and Corbin Baptist Hospital for caring for our precious Lois.
The family of Lois Jean Minton will receive friends on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the Cawood Funeral Home Chapel, Middlesboro Kentucky. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Donnie Buell and Reverend Josh Peters presiding. Music will be provided by the Gospelites.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at 4:00 p.m. at the Partin Family Cemetery located at Page Cut Off Rd., Pineville Kentucky.
Pallbearers will be Randy Buell Jr., Shawn Buell, Michael Jackson, Herman Lefevers, Dale “Bub” Kidwell, Tanner Minton, Curtis Minton, and Jerry Minton.
