Lois Evelyn Henderson Myers, born on June 12, 1933, in La Grange, Texas, passed away peacefully on April 28, 2024. She was the beloved daughter of Frank and Pauline Henderson. Lois married Robert Lee Myers on November 29, 1951, in Fort Worth, Texas

Lois, a devoted mother, faced both joys and sorrows with resilience. She lived in Fort Worth, Texas, for most of her life, leaving a lasting impact. Lois shared 56 years of marriage with Robert Lee Myers until his passing on March 11, 2008. Together, they created a legacy of love and commitment. 

She worked managing the household and several businesses with her husband Robert over the years. This included a restaurant - Lois’s Eat Shop at Richmond and Yuma 1962-64, a filling station, two Zip In Zip Out grocery stores, and All Dead Termite Company. Lois was not only a loving mother but also a member of Mount Sinai Missionary Baptist Church for well over 60 years. She actively participated and facilitated several events, fundraisers, and programs, raising her children in the church. 

Lois's favorite color was green, and she loved to shop and kept up with all the latest fashion trends. She had a flair for wearing hats like nobody's business. Known for her culinary skills, she was a great cook, delighting family and friends with her delicious meals like cabbage, sweet potatoes, cornbread. salisbury steak & okra gumbo. 

In addition to her immediate family, Lois is survived by her bonus daughters, Yolanda McPherson, Janie Kirvin and Charlie King Richardson. 

Preceding her in death were her sons Robert Lee Myers Jr., Ronnie Earl Myers, and Lawrence Myers, along with daughter Denise Myers. She is survived by her siblings, Georgia Younger and Edmere Little, sister-in-law, Emma Jean Franklin, and her daughters, Paula Hamilton (Shelton) and Regina Lewis (Charles), and grandchildren: Cedric Williams (Tanya), Earl Columbus, Rodney Shed (Monique), Jason Owens (Chantill), Skyy Brookins, Greaylin Myers, Crystal Kilgore, Robert Myers III, Juston Hamilton, Charles Lewis Jr., and Grant Lewis, great grandchildren and great-great grandchild. 

Lois Evelyn Myers departed this world surrounded by the love of her family. May her soul find eternal peace, and may her memory be a blessing to all who knew and loved her.
