Lois Nargi Obituary

Lois C. Nargi
Lois C. Nargi, 79, a longtime resident of North Haven and seasonal resident for the past 12 years of Hutchinson Island, Florida, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 30, 2024, at her home with her loving family by her side. She was the loving wife of 52 years to her best friend and soul mate Anthony Nargi. Lois was born in New Haven on May 17, 1945, and was the daughter of the late Pasquale and Anna Raio Carbone. She obtained a bachelor's and later a master's degree from Southern Connecticut State University. Lois worked in the Orange School System and later as a manager for two different medical practices. She loved music, dancing with her beloved husband, and reading. Lois enjoyed cooking and entertaining. She found sitting by the water to be peaceful and calming, the sea, sand, waves and sun was her happy place. Lois was a devote member of St. Barnabas Church, where she was a coordinator for the First Holy Communion program, served as a eucharistic minister, and was a member of the parish council. Loving mother of Alyssa Nargi (Wesley Jakubiec) and Keith Nargi (Kristen). Beloved grandmother of Ryan and Josilyn Nargi, who were the light and joy of her life. Sister of Patricia Carbone. A special thank you and gratitude is extended to Dr. Scott Gettinger, Emily Duffield, APRN, the Thoracic team at Smilow Cancer Center in North Haven, and Dr. Diane DeFusco for their exceptional care and concern.
The visiting hours will be on Thursday, October 3rd from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at The Havens Family North Haven Funeral Home, 36 Washington Avenue. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in Church of the Resurrection, 115 Pond Hill Road, Wallingford on Friday, October 4th at 12 noon. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. www.northhavenfuneral.com
