Lois Aleene Ozborn of Milton, FL, passed away on Saturday, July 20, 2024, at the age of 95. She was born on February 12, 1929, to Amos Lyle and Melva Johnson in Stanford, Illinois. She was the wife of the late Claud M. Ozborn, who preceded her in death in 2009.
For many years, Aleene ran a business in Union, called Aleene’s, where she sold fine gifts, hobbies, and craft supplies. She and her husband also owned a tree farm in Union and were very active in the forestry service. They were active members of Bluff Springs Church for 40 years. Aleene was known in the Union Community as an Energizer Bunny and was greatly involved in serving her community. She and Claud were also active in the Neshoba Community Center.
Aleene is survived by her four daughters: Vicki Ozborn, Judy Ruzycki, Virginia Maedgen, and Barbara Sweeney; along with a legacy of many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great, great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and her son, Claud Edward “Eddie” Ozborn in 2004.
Graveside Services for Aleene, will be held on October 12, 2024, beginning at 10:00 am, in Union, MS, with only family and close friends attending.
