Obituary published on Legacy.com by Downs Funeral Home - Superior on Jun. 19, 2025.
Lois Elaine Renoos, 94, passed away on Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at Villa Marina Health & Rehab in Superior, WI.
Lois was born September 18,1930 in Dresser, WI to Ethelind (Anderson) and Orville Peterson.
She moved to Superior in 1942 and graduated from Superior Central High School in 1948. Lois married Carl A. Renoos April 21, 1950. She was employed as a secretary at the hospital in Superior for many years.
Lois was a longtime resident of Superior and enjoyed time with friends and family. Summers were spent at Lake of the Woods and winters in Arizona. She was a passionate Green Bay Packer fan, never missed a chance to enjoy Casino time, and never missed a get together with friends, old and new! Lois was a lifelong devoted Lutheran and current member of Concordia Lutheran Church, a member of the Moose, American Legion Auxiliary in Gordon, and Sons of Norway.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Carl; her daughter, Nancy; granddaughter, Heather; great grandson, Kaiden; her siblings, Marjorie Larson, Ellsworth Peterson, and Dale Peterson.
Lois is survived by her children, Karen (Art) Martin of Lake Havasu, AZ, and John (Toot) Renoos of Solon Springs, WI; her grandchildren, Melissa Johnson, Shelby (Jonah Lewis) Renoos, John Carlson, Chelsey (Dave) Taylor, and Tyler (Alison) Renoos; her great grandchildren, Isabel Johnson DeVera, Larse Renoos Ausing, Aeven Johnson DeVera, Wylan Renoos Ausing, Olyvia Lindsay, Oliver Renoos, Wesley Renoos, Leonie Taylor, and Helena Lewis.
A heartfelt thank you to the care givers who helped Lois at this transitional time of life. The team at Villa Marina – your care for Lois and the entire family was exceptional. Essentia Hospice – you provided Lois with a smooth transition and the family with peace of mind. Indigo Health Care – your home care allowed Lois to remain in her home. Thank you, Jody, for your willingness to work with us and Doreen for your care and friendship for Lois.
The family will celebrate Lois's life with a private graveside service at Riverside Cemetery.
