Mrs. Lois Carringer Roberts

NEWTON - Lois Carringer Roberts, 75 of Newton went home to be with the Lord on April 7, 2007. Born December 18, 1931 in Graham County, she was the daughter of the late Charles C. Carringer and Julia Slaughter Carringer. In addition to her parents, her brothers, Warren C. Carringer and Arnold Carringer preceded her in death. Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Harold J. Roberts of the home; her daughter, Sheila R. Keener and her husband, Ken; a son Michael Roberts and his wife, Lisa; grandchildren, Chandal Doherr and her husband, Derek, Allison Waters and her husband, Devin, Haley Roberts and Bradyn Roberts; great-grandchildren, Nicholas Waters, Ella Keener-Kirksey and Ava Doherr; and a sister, Margie C. Witherspoon. A Celebration of Life service will be held Tuesday April 10, 2007 at 2:00pm at Tri-City Baptist Church with the Rev. Ruffin Snow officiating. The family will receive friends Monday, April 9, 2007 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Tri-City Baptist Church and at other times at the home of Sheila Keener in Conover.
