Lois Sauerwein

Columbiana - Lois Sauerwein, age 94, died on Friday, March 27, 2026, at Shepherd of the Valley Poland.

Lois was born on July 27, 1931, in Greenford, a daughter, of the late William and Edith Charlton Taylor.

Lois had worked as a piece worker cutting patterns for Franklin Furniture Factory. She enjoyed sewing and quilting, camping, gardening and flowers, hummingbirds, reading the paper, doing word search puzzles, cooking, ice cream and watching The Bachelor. She will be sadly missed by all those who loved her.

Her husband, Jay Sauerwein, whom she married on June 29,1056, preceded her in death on January 21, 2002.

Lois is survived by her daughter, Vicki (Craig) Kuhlman of Columbiana; her son, David Sauerwein of Garland, TX; seven grandchildren and many great grandchildren; a brother, Dale (Barbara) Taylor of Columbiana; three sisters, Marilyn (Dallas) Gallagher of Lisbon, Eileen Leffel of Columbiana and Linda Van Dyke of Inverness, FL.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Karen Dabney and brothers, Ray Taylor, Randall Taylor, Leon Taylor and Arlen Taylor.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 12, 2026 from 2:00 pm-3:00 pm at the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home

A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, April 12, 2026 at 3:00 pm at the funeral home with Chaplain Paul Iden officiating.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana.
