Lois Elaine Silk

Lois Elaine Silk, 81, entered into rest Wednesday June 29, 2022 at her home. She was the wife of Donald Ray Silk for 58 years.
A viewing will be 10-11 a.m. Wednesday July 6, 2022 at Church of the Open Door 8 Carlisle Court. The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. at the church with Pastor Don Wagner officiating. A celebration of life will follow the service, at the church. The John W. Keffer Funeral Homes and Crematory, Inc., West York, is assisting with the arrangements.
Mrs. Silk was born October 1, 1940 in York, a daughter of the late Louis and Phyllis (Badders) Sullivan. She was a member of Church of the Open Door where she served as a greeter. She attended William Penn Senior High School and had been employed at York Dress Company, D and D Sewing Factory, and as receiving manager at Burlington Coat Factory. She was raised in a Christian home and loved to evangelize with her parents as the Sullivan Gospel Singers. She played organ, piano, and accordion for 23 years at the Shrewsbury Gospel Temple.
Lois is survived by her husband; sons Troy Silk, and J. J. Silk and his wife Jessica; granddaughters Brittanie Silk and Autumn Silk; nieces, nephews, and loving extended family. She was preceded in death by a brother Dan Sullivan.
