PATRICIA ANNE FOSTER SUNDERLAND

In Loving Memory of Patricia Anne Foster Sunderland

October 22, 1951 – September 23, 2025

Patricia Anne Foster Sunderland, 73, of Hopkinsville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at Jennie Stuart Medical Center, surrounded by the love of her family.

A celebration of her life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at First Christian Church, with Rev. Catherine DeMoss officiating. Patricia will be laid to rest at Riverside Cemetery following the service. Visitation will take place at the church on Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.

Born and raised in Hopkinsville, Patricia was the daughter of the late Richard Denton Foster and Ouida Rorie Foster. She was also preceded in death by her beloved son, Lee Veazey. A woman of grace, strength, and quiet generosity, Patricia dedicated her life to her family, her faith, and her community.

Patricia built a respected career in banking, serving as a manager at U.S. Bank, where she was known for her integrity, leadership, and compassion. Beyond her professional accomplishments, she was deeply committed to giving back. She was a devoted member of First Christian Church, where she lovingly oversaw the Elizabeth Stone Scholarship Fund, helping to support the dreams of countless young people.

She is survived by her loving husband, Steven Sunderland of Hopkinsville; her son, Grant (Angela) Veazey of Watersound, Florida; and her brother, Mike (Marilyn) Foster of Hopkinsville. Patricia's legacy lives on through her cherished family: Erin Ware (Troy), Zac Sunderland (Taylor), Josh Sunderland (Courtney), Ben Sunderland (Allyssa), and Tori Bennett (Brock), as well as her treasured grandchildren: Tyler, Davis, Hudson, Rachel, Eli, Zeke, Micah, Isaac, Etta, and Rhema and great grandchild, Malcolm.

Patricia will be remembered for her unwavering love, her quiet strength, and the way she made everyone feel seen and valued. Her warmth, wisdom, and faith touched many lives, and her memory will continue to inspire all who knew her.

In lieu of flowers, the family invites contributions to be made in Patricia's honor to the Elizabeth Stone Scholarship Fund at First Christian Church.
