Lola Llewelyn Obituary

Lola Butterfield Llewelyn

1941 - 2024

South Jordan, UT-Lola was born June 7, 1941 to George Jefferson and Edna Marie Butterfield. She died Sunday October 6, 2024 to incidents of age and Dementia related complications. We are happy that she is back together with our dad, her mother and our sister who she dearly missed.

Lola married her sweetheart Dick on January 23, 1962 and together had four children, Tracie, Boyd, Kim and Cory. Her family was her life and raising her children was a major accomplishment. She loved being a grandmother and never missed a birthday or holiday. Our mother endured many hardships in her life including crippling Polio and later in life Dementia. She never let her disabilities get in the way of enjoying life. She did many things that Dr's and others said she could never do. She was the strongest person we have ever known. We are happy that she is no longer saddled with a body that simply could not do some of the simple things we all take for granted.

Lola is survived by her children, grandchildren, great grands and countless friends and family. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard Llewelyn and her daughter Tracie. We wish to thank the staff of Sagewood assisted living for loving Lola and taking exceptional care of her when we couldn't be there.

Funeral services will be held Monday October 14, 2024 at 1pm at Valley View Memorial 4335 West 4100 South, West Valley City, UT, 84120. A viewing will be held from 12-1pm. Internment will follow at Valley View Memorial Cemetery.

Aunt Lola was an amazing woman, with a loving heart of gold. I loved it when she would come to visit us here in Vegas. When my Mom, Lola´s sister, would visit Mom you can´t believe the mischief those two ladies could get themselves into. I miss her terribly.

Boyd, Kim and Cory,
I have so memories of your mom when I was a kid. I was glad to get to see your mom and talk to her for the last couple of years. She always talked about you kids and her grand kids, and great grandkids. She was so full of laughter.

My thoughts and prayers are you at this time!

I´m glad she is reunited with your dad and Tracie and other loved ones!

Love,
Karen Thorngren (Rose)
