Lola S. Smith

1925 - 2026

Lola S. Smith, 100, of Brookville, passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at Penn Highlands Jefferson Manor.
She was born on Oct. 17, 1925, in North Mahoning Township, Indiana County, to parents J.D. and Pearl (VanHorn) Good.
Lola graduated from Plumville High School and then married Harold "Andy" Smith on Sept. 7, 1968, and they enjoyed travelling to all 50 states together. She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family and loved family get-togethers.
She is survived by five children, Terry Luce (Doris), Home, Connie Bodenhorn (Ed), Brookville, Sharon Barnett (Howard), Punxsutawney, Mark Smith (Michelle) and Cathy Smith, all of Summerville; 10 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Kenneth Good, Dale Good and Ernest Good, and a sister Alicebelle Hayes, and an infant sister. She was the last surviving member of her family.
Friends will be received on Tuesday from 3 to 7 p.m. Friends will also be received on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. at the McCabe Funeral Home, Inc., 114 Maple Ave., Punxsutawney, PA 15767.
Interment will follow at Worthville Cemetery.
