Longino “Lonnie” R. Gonzalez, 100, of Uvalde passed away on July, 19, 2023 in Uvalde.
He was born on March 15, 1923 in Cuidad Acuna, Coahuila to Julia (Robledo) and Margarito Gonzalez.
Lonnie is survived by two daughters, Rebecca Sanchez and husband, Esteban of Uvalde and Veronica Frausto and husband, Alfredo, of Uvalde; son, Rogelio Gonzalez of Uvalde: numerous grand children, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca Martinez, parents, sons, infant son, Gilbert Gonzalez, Lonnie Gonzalez Jr. Jose Angel Gonzalez and Tino Gonzalez; sisters, Bertha Rangel, Mela Rodriguez and Susie Gonzalez.
Visitation will begin on Thursday, July 20, 2023 at 12 pm at Rushing Estes Knowles Mortuary. A prayer service will be held on Thursday, July 20, 2023 at 7 pm at Rushing Estes Knowles Mortuary. Funeral service will be Friday, July 21, 2023 at 9 am Rushing Estes Knowles Mortuary. Interment to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
