LONNIE CORDELL CARAWAY, 85, of Martins Ferry, OH, passed away Thursday, September 25th, 2025.

Lonnie was born in Provident, OH on November 17, 1939, he was the son of the late Albert M. and Gertrude (Dingey) Caraway.

He was a retired welder at American Electric Power Brilliant, OH.

Lonnie will be remembered as a man who truly lived life with a passion and purpose. He was an avid hunter who found peace and joy in the outdoors, always respecting nature and the traditions that came with it. When he wasn't in the woods, he loved the simple freedom of bike riding, enjoying the open road and the quiet moments it offered. His curiosity about the world led him to become an active member of the archaeology society, where he could connect with history and share his interests with others. Lonnie was also a proud lifetime member of the NRA. He valued his rights and the responsibility that came with them. His presence will be deeply missed, but the many passions he embraced will always be a part of the memories he leaves behind.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Jerry Caraway.

In addition to his wife, Barbara E. (Kutcher) Caraway he is survived by a son, Lonnie (Shirley Davis) Caraway, Jr. Martins Ferry; daughter, Serena (Michael) Williams, Martins Ferry, Melissa Caraway (Steve Lopez); Chandler, AZ; two sisters, Nancy Kyanko, Columbus, OH and Beverly VanDyne, TX; four granddaughters, Nicole (Javis) Johnson, Christen (Dean) Harper, Marissa (Bob) Heil and Dakota (Brad) Cole; grandson, Roberto Lopez-Caraway four great-grandchildren, Shelby Thomas, Brad Jr., Mariah Cole and J.J.
