Lonnie Joe Logan, 79, passed away peacefully at his son's home in Arlington, Tennessee, on April 5, 2024. Joe married Brenda Faye Phipps Logan on June 30, 1963, and was preceded in death by her on October 30, 2017.
He was the youngest of the five children of Lon Givens and Ruth Rose Logan of Union City, Tennessee. He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings.
He is survived by his three children, Tim Logan (Jennifer) of Arlington, Tennessee, Laurie Thompson (Mark) of White Hall, Arkansas, and Kelly Cruthirds Bankston (James) of Brookhaven, Mississippi. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, Christina Logan Quon (Cody), Jonna Logan Wood (Matt), Lon Spencer Logan, Logan Thompson (Chelsea), Hailey Thompson, Faith Thompson, Kate Cruthirds Brister (Jake), Quin Cruthirds, and Cole Cruthirds. He is also survived by his four beloved great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Joe was a Godly man with a servant's heart. He loved his wife and family and served his Lord faithfully as a deacon, Sunday School teacher, and recently as a member of Crossroads Baptist Church. He had a profound effect on not only his family but the many people he coached, taught, and worked alongside during his life.
A visitation for Lonnie will be held Monday, April 8, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 North Germantown Parkway, Bartlett, TN 38133. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, April 9, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 3700 North Germantown Parkway, Bartlett, TN 38133. A committal service will occur Tuesday, April 9, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM, 3700 North Germantown Parkway, Bartlett, TN 38133.
