Lonnie was born on April 26, 1941 and passed away on Wednesday, February 10, 2016. Lonnie was a resident of Wimington, North Carolina at the time of his passing. He was married to Mona. To celebrate his life the family will receive family and friends on Sunday February 14 2016 from 4:00pm â 6:00pm at Andrews Mortuary Valley Chapel at 4108 S. College Road. The funeral will be held on Monday February 15 2016 at 11:00 am at the same location. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.

Bonnie and family, our prayers and love are with you all at this trying time. Sonny was a good man, I remember when all of you would get in his truck and drive to Florida and spend one night and head back to Wilmington. There were times he would drive down and spend a few hours and head back home. Sonny just had to get back home. He is at home now and at peace. He also, got Jimmy his first job when we moved to Wilmington in 1984. Thanks to sonny we had a head start in getting our concrete business started in Wilmington. I know through the years he has helped many along his way in life. May he rest in peace.... and prayers for you and the family. We love you all

My thoughts and prayers are with
Sonny and his family. I didn't know his family we did however grow up knowing the whole family my entire life. Jean and Gwen my heart goes out to you we were just together at Wesley's service. I am here for the two of you just let me know. Sonny's wife and children while I didn't know you I knew Sonny and he was a very good man who love his family. Years ago when we were spot fishing he would talk about his family and was so proud of you. He will be missed by so many. May God be with you and see you through this most stressful time.
