Lonnie Eugene Pire

Lonnie Pire Obituary

PENFIELD - Lonnie Eugene Pire, 71, of Penfield passed away peacefully Dec. 19, 2024.
He was born June 17, 1953, in Bradford to Leon and Betty Pire. Lonnie has been reunited with his parents along with his partner, Kathy Kitelinger; his brother Richard Pire; his sister Betsy Pire, a nephew, Kevin Pire; and a grandson, Ethan Fox.
Weary of reading obituaries noting someone's courageous battle with death, Lonnie would have wanted it known that he most likely died as a result of being stubborn, in some way or another. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and being outdoors in nature. He loved sitting around a fire with a cold beer and telling stories of the good times. He always had a joke to tell and laughing and making memories was what he was known to do. Though Lonnie may not have had a public career, his impact on the lives of his family and friends was immeasurable.
Lonnie left behind his daughters, Amy (Rob) Alcock, Lonnie (Kevin) Hensley, Khia Pire, Tammy (Steve) Magee and Fawna (Jacob) Moore; his brothers Kevin (Sharon) Pire, Robert (Amy) Pire, and Shawn (Ahn) Pire; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Lonnie asks that you stop by his memorial service at 1 p.m. June 14, 2025, at Allegany State Park, Red House Area, to tell some of the stories he can no longer share. But please be advised, Lonnie's memorial service may contain adult content.

You Left without a sound, I know you are at peace, probably already found a good hunting spot, a nice honey hole of fish, cold beer and a camp site. I'll miss you forever on earth until we meet up again, I love you big brother. Rest in peace.
