Loren William Croft "Uncle Fuzz", age 68, of Greenup, Illinois, passed away at 7:25 AM – Saturday, September 27, 2025, at the Willow Breeze Hospice House in Mattoon, Illinois.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the care of the Meyer Funeral Home - Bishop Chapel in Greenup, Illinois. The obituary can be viewed and condolences left at www.meyerfh.com.
Loren was born on June 26, 1957, in Mattoon, Illinois, the son of Eugene George and Edith Alberta (Cox) Croft. He married Denise Weber on November 19, 1999, in Effingham, Illinois, and she survives.
Loren graduated from Newton Community High School with the Class of 1975. He worked as a welder for many years and retired from Nucor Skyline Steel in Newton, Illinois, after many years as welder.
Loren enjoyed farming, finding a bargain and loved classic rock music.
Loren is survived by:
Wife – Denise Croft of Greenup, Illinois
Nephew – Josh (Ashley) Croft of Wasilla, Alaska
Great Nieces – Zoey and Ayla Croft
Loren was preceded in death by his parents and brother Leon Croft.
