Loren Jackson Shackelford, 78, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, passed away on February 13, 2025, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
Loren was born on June 17, 1946, to Arthur and Lena (Boyer) Shackelford in St. Louis, Missouri. He married Patricia Kay Shanks on November 22, 1968, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
Loren was a member of Green Forest Church of Christ in Poplar Bluff. He worked for JCPenney for over 30 years before retiring. Loren was a knife collector and enjoyed photography, traveling, and discovering new places around Missouri. In his younger years, Loren liked tending his yearly garden and hunting. He was a dedicated husband and caregiver for his wife before her passing in 2010.
Loren is survived by his son, Geoffrey (Brook) Shackelford and two grandsons, Gavin and Cameron Shackelford.
Loren was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Shackelford.
Graveside service will be held at 11:00am on Friday, February 21, 2025, at Woodlawn Cemetery in Poplar Bluff with Pastor Mitchell Rogers officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Arthritis Foundation.
