She was born on August 2, 1941, in Oberlin, Ohio, to Royal and Helen (Tudor) Stark.
Lorene graduated from Black River High School and then from Ashland College with her Bachelor's Degree. She was employed as a second grade teacher at Perkins Local Schools for 35 years. In her spare time, she enjoyed painting, crocheting, calligraphy, gardening, and flowers, being outdoors, and loved to cook for her family (her meals are often talked about). Her greatest joy was her family, and she loved spending time with and caring for them.
Helen is survived by her husband, Jerry, whom she married on November 26, 1960; sons, Timothy Robert (Beth) Armstrong, of Oak Ridge, TN; and Scott Alan (Arlyn) Armstrong, of Maumee, OH; grandchildren, Ryan, Eric, Tylor, Megan, and Mary "Grace"; great-grandchildren, Levi and Finley; sister, Beth (Ted) Daniels, of Jensen Beach, Florida; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her sister, Marilyn; and brother, Royal, Jr.
Cremation will take place and a private burial will be in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
Donations can be made in Lorene's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
