Lorene Boyster, a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 1, 2025, at the age of 85. She was born on April 21, 1940, in Mineral Point, Missouri, a daughter of the late Louis Pashea and Elizabeth (Beyatte) Pashea.
On May 10, 1958, Lorene was united in marriage to the love of her life, Robert “Bob” Boyster. Together, they shared nearly 59 years of devotion, faith, and companionship. Their life was filled with love, laughter, and the comfort of a home built on steadfast commitment and Jesus Christ.
Lorene was a true protector of her family. As a mother, she was attentive and nurturing, always ensuring her children were safe, cared for, and supported. She found joy in cooking meals for her loved ones, keeping a warm and welcoming home, and cherishing the simple moments that brought her family together.
She loved listening to old gospel music—especially The McKamey’s—and enjoyed watching Joey and Rory with Bob, as well as one of her favorite shows, Judge Judy. Lorene also enjoyed bargain hunting, whether at yard sales or auctions, often with her siblings, Geraldine and Donald. A woman of deep faith, Lorene loved the Lord with all her heart and lived her life in a way that reflected that devotion.
Lorene is survived by her two daughters: Kathy (Walter) Thebeau and Lisa (David) Kavanaugh; five grandchildren: Jason (Charity) Thebeau, Darrick (Katie) Thebeau, Nathan (Ally) DeClue, Brianna (Drew) Bowles, and Isaac Kavanaugh; and thirteen great-grandchildren: Madison, Zachary, Dakota, Ally, Gracie, Dexter, Lincoln, Everleigh, Liam, SJ, Lainey, Myles, and Lovelynn. She is also survived by her special niece, Mary Lou Pashea, along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
In addition to her parents, Lorene was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert Boyster; her five brothers: Lawrence, Lonnie, Raymond, Albert, and Donald Pashea; her six sisters: Alene Farris, Omie Clemmons, Edna Ray, Virginia Pashea, Geraldine Pashea, and Rachel Stuthers; as well as her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ralph and Mary Boyster.
A time of visitation will be held to honor Lorene on Thursday, December 4, 2025, from 11:30 AM until the time of her Funeral Service at 1:00 PM, at DeClue Funeral Home, with Pastor David Godat officiating. Interment and final prayers will take place at New Diggins Cemetery. Funeral arrangements for Lorene have been entrusted to the care and direction of DeClue Funeral Home.
