Lorene is preceded in death by her ex-husband, James R. Bryant Sr., father Jack Searcy Sr., mother Annie L. Searcy, brother Jack Searcy Jr., brother Nathanal L. Searcy, and sister Inez Searcy..
She is survived by her loving children Crystal Bryant-Gutierrez, Shawn (Tammy) Searcy, James R. Bryant Jr., and Irene Bryant. Lorene will be fondly remembered by her grandchildren Crystin L. Hains, Britnee S. Bryant, Jeremy M.. Inglesi, Diamond C. Gutierrez, Imani E. Williams, DaShawn Jackson, Isaiah Jackson, James Bryant III, Semaj Bryant, Tre'Von L. Searcy, Alexis B. Searcy, Ja'Mezz M. McKinney, Cytia M. Jones, and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
A licensed cosmetologist for many years, Lorene later contributed her warmth and care to the hospitality department at OSU East. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those she touched, and she will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Lorene found joy in life's simple pleasures-playing cards, singing, dancing, and the excitement of bingo. Her love for church and connections with friends reflected her warm spirit and genuine affection for people. Lorene's vibrant personality touched the lives of many, leaving a legacy of love and cherished memories.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 5th, 2023 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with a Funeral Service immediately following at Trinity Baptist Church 461 St. Clair Ave, Columbus - OH. Burial will follow in procession to Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
