Lorene Anaya Delgadillo, 74 of Fort Sumner, NM passed away at her home on Monday, December 15, 2025 following a sudden illness. She was born May 24, 1951 in Santa Rosa to the home of Eduardo and Nora (Casaus) Anaya. She grew up in Fort Sumner, and attended Fort Sumner Schools.
She worked for Home Health Care, and helped clean houses around town. She was a member of the Saint Anthony Catholic Church in Fort Sumner.
Lorene enjoyed going to the casino, playing bingo, and dancing. She also enjoyed traveling with her kids and friends, and being Grandma Loca to her grandkids. She loved to spend time in her yard, working to make it beautiful.
Lorene is preceded in death by her parents Nora Casaus and Eduardo Anaya, her siblings Susie Bailon, and Esther Dunn.
She is survived by her children Pammy Anaya, Joseph and Alisha Anaya, Phillip Delgadillo, and Angelica Delgadillo; her grandchildren Brittany Madero, Jenavieve Anaya, Jazlynn Lawrence, and Darien Hunt; her siblings Geraldine Griego, Eddie Anaya, and Andy Anaya. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
Services will be held at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Fort Sumner, New Mexico on Thursday, December 18, 2025. A Rosary will be recited at 10:00 am followed by the funeral Mass. Father Jacob Romero will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Anthony Cemetery. Pallbearers will include Joseph Anaya, Phillip Delgadillo, Billy Joe Dunn, Darien Hunt, Andy Anaya, and Eric Bailon.
