Lorenzo C. Bynum Sr., 60, of Northampton Avenue, Springfield, Massachusetts, departed this life on Saturday, December 20, 2024, at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield.
Born in Springfield, he was a son of the late Willie C. Bynum and the late Gussie (Daniels) Bynum. Lorenzo worked in the Shipping Department of Hood Dairy Products for thirty-seven years and was a member of Shiloh Pentecostal Church.
Pre-deceased by a son, Jerry Hughes, and several siblings, he is survived by his beloved wife of thirty-five years, Marcie R. Stallworth-Bynum; four sons, Lorenzo C. Bynum Jr., Jonathan L. Bynum, Justin Cummings, and Devon C. Bynum; four daughters, LaTash Harris, Lashauna Bynum, Lee'ona Hughes, and Lee'ashia Ramsey; a brother, Victor Bynum; four sisters, Hattie M. Gasque, Stella M. Gilbert, Diane Bynum, and Doris Bynum; more than fifteen grandchildren; one great-grandson; many nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
The calling hour is 10-11 a.m. Thursday, January 2, 2024, at Shiloh Community Pentecostal Church, 91 Jasper Street, Springfield, Massachusetts, followed by funeral services at 11 a.m., with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery.
