Lorenzo Te

Lorenzo "Caden" Malmis Te, 72; passed away peacefully on February 12, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, resilience and unwavering devotion to those he loved. Born on November 24, 1953, in Oroquieta City, Philippines, he entered the world as Kah Lin, the youngest of eleven, destined to become the heart of a large and loving family.

A successful businessman and contractor in the Philippines, Caden built more than structures - he built trust, community and lifelong friendships. His commitment to service shone through his proud membership in Alpha Phi Omega and his honored title of Master Mason, earned through years of philanthropy and quiet generosity.

Caden will be remembered as a gentle soul with a sharp wit, a forgiving heart and a generosity that asked nothing in return. His laughter, his warmth and his steady presence will echo in the memories of all who were blessed to have known him.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Girlie, his son Jaymark (Martha Garcia) and his treasured grandson Giancarlo, who brought him immeasurable joy and also by a sister Dem (Victor) Ong and brother Nic (late Lumen).

Visitation Sunday, February 22, 3:00 pm - 9:00 pm at Colonial Wojciechowski Funeral Home 8025 W. Golf Rd. (1/2 mile East of Milwaukee Ave.) Niles, IL. Funeral Monday, February 23, 12:00 pm service at the funeral home followed by a funeral procession to Ridgewood Cemetery.
