Loretta Murphy Adkins

Loretta Murphy Adkins, age 76, of Pikeville, Kentucky passed away at the Pikeville Medical Center December 1, 2023. Loretta was born in Pikeville, Kentucky January 14, 1947 the daughter of the late Earles and Amba Viola Burris Murphy. She was a home maker and a past Sunday school teacher at her church, Pikeville, Main Street Church of Christ, and was a day care school teacher. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Sid Adkins on September 7, 1998, a son, Timothy Dwayne Adkins in November 2018, two brothers William and Randy Murphy, and a great grandchild Blake Norman.
Loretta is survived by; two daughters, Linda Adkins Miller of Pikeville, Kentucky and Deborah Adkins Slone and her husband Gene of Betsy Layne, Kentucky, two sisters, Sandra Leslie and her husband Marvin of Harold, Kentucky and Vanessa Townes of Pikeville, Kentucky, five Grandchildren, Sabrina Hall and her husband Josh, Heather Miller, Austin Slone, Haley Miller, and Alicia Slone, Six great grandchildren, Hannah Hall, Katelyn Hall, Tyler Hall, Brennan Hall, Westyn Slone, and Nala Jackson.
The visitation will be at J. W. Call and Son Funeral Home Tuesday December 5, 2023 beginning at 6:00 P.M.
The body will be moved to the Pikeville Main Street Church of Christ Wednesday at Noon where the funeral will be at 2:00 P.M. with Josh Allen officiating.
The Burial will be at Annie E. Young Cemetery
Pallbearers will be; Austin Slone, Gene Slone, Kyle Bevins, Curtis Norman, And Joshua Hall
