LORETTA CATHERINE COUNTS Loretta Catherine Counts, 73, of 10133 Millcreek Rd. Sidney, went home to be with her Lord at 2:15 p.m. Friday February 6, 2009 at Dorothy Love Retirement Center following her battle with Lou Gehrig's disease. She was born February 21, 1935 in Shelby County to the late Charles Richard and Arline Miriam (Liller) Vondenhuevel. She married Richard T. Counts November 29, 1958 in Sidney; and he survives. Other survivors include two daughters, Cassandra (Samuel) Boyer of Sidney, Pamela S. (Gregory) Black of Piqua; five grandchildren, Bradley Boyer, Kelly Boyer, Dustin (Kyla) Black, Kurtis Black, Holly Black; four brothers, Donald E. (Edith) Vondenhuevel of Indianapolis, Ind., Richard F. Vondenhuevel, Chester R. Vondenhuevel, Thomas J. (Frances) Vondenhuevel all of Sidney; a sister, Patricia (Louis) Petersimes, Jr. of Sidney; and a sister-in-law, Jeanette Vondenhuevel of Sidney. She was preceded in death by a brother, Charles F. Vondenhuevel, and a sister, Audrey Louise Vondenhuevel. Loretta attended Hardin Rural School, graduated Sidney High School in 1953, and was homemaker all of her life. She was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church of Sidney. She was a treasured friend, selfless, loving, devoted mother and wife, and a faithful servant of our Lord. She will be deeply missed by her loving family and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, February 10, 2009 at Holy Angles Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. David Schmitmeyer as the Celebrant. Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Monday at the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Angles Catholic Church, 324 S. Ohio St., Sidney, OH 45365, or Wilson Hospice Care, 915 W. Michigan St., Sidney, OH 45365.
