Loretta Hart, 85, of Arcola, IL passed away at 12:03 PM on Thursday, January 15, 2026 at her residence.
Family graveside services will take place in the Moors Cemetery in Gilbertsville, KY at a later date. The Edwards Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Loretta was born on November 14, 1940 in Festus, MO. She was a daughter of John Henry and Irene (Enlow) Dyle. She married Gaven David Hart on August 31, 1957 in Hernando, MS, he passed away on August 30, 1996.
She is survived by six children, Londa Hart of Zephyrhills, FL, Kimberly Plankar and her husband Craig of Wellington, FL, David Hart and his wife Sherri of Danville, IL, Mark Hart and his wife Diane of Lansing, MI, Dawn Miller and her husband Mike of Arcola, IL, and James Hart of Arcola, IL, seven grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and one sister, Ruby McCain of Yuma, AZ.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers, Carl Dyle and Pete Dyle, and one sister, Alberta Bergan.
Loretta cherished traveling with her husband and her sister, and after her husband’s passing, she found new adventure and companionship as part of the “Traveling Widows Club”, proudly visiting every state in the United States except Hawaii.
