Loretta Ann Lehman Covington, 70, of Baird passed away Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at her home. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Loretta was born December 23, 1954, in Emmetsburg, Iowa to Willard and Helen (Benschoter) Lehman. She graduated high school in Nogales, California. She later married Ronnie Covington in Baird on July 7, 2011, and worked as a manager at Chicken Express in Clyde for a few years. Loretta loved camping and flying kites on the beach. She was a loving mom, wife, grandma and friend and will be missed my many.
She is survived by her husband, Ronnie Covington of Baird; her daughter, Melanie Ritter and her husband Doyle Cryer of Holland; three stepsons, Ronnie Covington and wife Brandy of Roscoe, James Covington and wife Elaine Taul of Montague and Bobby Covington and wife Christy of Sweetwater; two brothers, Bobby Lehman and Randy Lehman, both of Sugarland; two sisters, Sherry Green of Henderson, Nevada and Lauri Lehman of Fontana, Nevada; nine grandchildren, Caleb, Zachary, Anthony, Ron, Brentyn, J.J., Kirsten, Kyler and Kaige and nine great grandchildren, Juni, Bella, C.J., Stetson, Emmy, Bayler, Braylin, Bryar and Daniel.
Loretta was preceded in death by her parents, Willard and Helen Lehman; her son, Anthony Iorio, III and her brother, Scott Lehman.
