Loretta Maddox

Loretta Ilene Maddox, age 90, of Tooele, Utah, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 31, 2025.
Born on December 23, 1934, in Kewanee, Illinois, Loretta was the beloved daughter of Warren Joseph Fairfield and Edna Ilene Hall. She married the love of her life, Ronald Dean Maddox, on December 12, 1950, and together they built a beautiful life filled with faith, family, and devotion.
Loretta dedicated her life to her family and to serving others. She was a devoted mother who found her greatest joy in raising her children and watching her family grow. As an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she lived her faith every day-through kindness, patience, and quiet strength. Her words to live by were always, "I can do all things through Christ."
She is survived by her children: Kevin Maddox of West Jordan; Dawn Torres (Anthony Torres) of South Jordan; Brian Maddox of Logan; and Ryan Maddox of Sandy. Loretta is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will carry forward her legacy of love and faith.
Loretta is now reunited in heaven with her beloved husband, Ronald, her parents, Warren and Edna Fairfield, her children, Gary Lynn Maddox, Candace Lee Howell, Bruce Allen Maddox, and her sister Barbara Joan Fairfield.
Her family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the compassionate staff at The Lodge at Riverton for the tender care and friendship they showed her in her final years.
A celebration of Loretta's life will be held in December to honor her beautiful spirit and the love she shared so freely.
Though she is gone from our sight, she will forever remain in our hearts.
