Loretta Madrid Obituary
Loretta L. Madrid, devoted wife, mother & grandmother, age 86, peacefully passed away Dec. 22, 2020. Loretta was born May 6, 1934 in Sault Ste. Marie, MI, to Edward & Ruth Fournier. Loretta met Nick B. Madrid while he was serving in the Army. They married on Jan, 31, 1953 in Sault Ste Marie, MI. shortly after, they moved to Albuquerque, N.M.
Loretta worked as a nurse aide at the first St. Joseph Hospital, starting in the nursery. After the new hospital was built she continued as an aide in multiple departments, retiring after 30 years. Loretta continued caring for people anytime & anywhere she was needed. Loretta devoted her life to God, family & friends.
She will be dearly remembered.
She is survived by husband Nick B. Madrid, sons Bruce & Nick, daughter Renee (Gary) Blascziek, St. Joseph, MN, sons Matthew & Daniel. Grandchildren, Michael Madrid Beavercreek, OH, Amber (Louis) Padilla, Belen, Richard (Misook) Madrid & Shana Madrid, Audrey (Eugenio), Barada, Victoria & Dylan Blascziek, twelve great-grandchildren & one great-great granddaughter. Sister Blanche Kivinen, Carolina Shores, N.C, brother Marc Fournier, Sault Ste Marie, MI. & many nieces and nephews.
Loretta was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, one sister, two sons Gordon & Brian & grandson Joshua A. Madrid.
Rosary & funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2020, 10:30 am, at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 811 Guaymas Pl. NE Albuquerque.
Arrangements entrusted to Daniels Family Funeral Services 7601 Wyoming Blvd N.E. Albuquerque, N.M. 87109.

I am so sorry for your loss. Loretta was such a sweet and caring individual. I helped Carol as she was passing and Loretta was always so sweet and caring. Heaven definately gained a sweet angel.
