Loretta Morton Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Ebensberger-Fisher Funeral Home on Feb. 19, 2026.
Loretta Jean Morton, born on August 21, 1943, in Pawhuska, Oklahoma entered into eternal rest on February 18, 2026, to be with her Heavenly Father.

Loretta was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She was united in marriage to Philip Russell Morton for 65 wonderful years. Together they built a life centered on faith, family, and enduring love.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Philip Russell Morton; her daughter, Kelly Jo Sill and husband Joe Thomas Sill of Boerne; her son, R.B. Morton and wife Connie Morton of Spring Branch; her granddaughter, Tera Renee Walter and husband Joshua Lee Walter of New Braunfels; her grandson, Tyler Ryan Morton and wife Caitlin Shae Morton of Cibolo, Texas; her cherished great-grandchildren, McKenzie and husband Jonathan, Colten, Luke, Connor, and Caden; and one precious great-great-grandchild on the way. She is also survived by her brother, Dale Harlow of Hominy, Oklahoma.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Ada Alred of Owensville, Missouri; her brother, Sonny Harlow; and her sister, JoAnn Spurgeon.

Loretta dedicated many years of service to the El Paso Independent School District before moving to Boerne, Texas, where she continued her career with State Farm, from which she later retired.

A woman of deep and abiding faith, Loretta was highly involved in her church community. She found great joy in singing in the choir, teaching Sunday school, and participating in various church activities. She had a special love for horses and embraced the western lifestyle with enthusiasm and pride.

Above all, Loretta's love for her family was unmatched and remained the very center of her life. Her warmth, strength, and unwavering devotion will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

A graveside service will be held at Boerne Cemetery, officiated by Pastor Mike Sutton. Service will be held Tuesday, February 24th, 11am at The Boerne City Cemetery.
