Loretta Sue Newman

Loretta Sue Newman, age 73 of McDowell, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, December 3, 2022 at McDowell ARH, McDowell, Kentucky. She was born June 30, 1949 in Floyd County, Kentucky to the late Harmon & Frankie Elliott Mitchell. She was the wife of the late Edgar B. Newman. She was the longtime companion of Doff Justice. She is survived by her Sons: Scott (Rhonda) Newman & Jamie (Marleana) Newman; Grandchildren: Douglas Newman, Austin Newman, Bradley Newman, Chase Newman, Blake (Kayleah) Branham; Great Grandchildren: Asher Branham & Violet Branham; Brothers & Sisters: Thurman Mitchell, Phillip Mitchell, Bill Mitchell, Lark Mitchell, Harmon Mitchell Jr., Elsie Hamilton & Brenda Paige. Along with her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her Brothers & Sisters: Ernest Mitchell, Arthur Mitchell, Lawrence Mitchell, Larry Douglas Mitchell, Foster Mitchell, John William Mitchell, Barbara Mitchell, Mary Stone, Ola B.Lesage, Magalene Horn, Delpha Elliott, Alpha Hamilton, Elva Elliott, Judy Barton, Betty Jean Mitchell, Stella Parks & Goldie Tackett. She will be missed by all that knew her.
Visitation will begin Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at 6pm at the funeral home and will continue all day Wednesday, December 7, 2022
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, December 8, 2022 at 1pm at Nelson Frazier Funeral Home, Martin, Kentucky with Shawn Tussey officiating
Burial will follow at Davidson Memorial Gardens, Ivel, Kentucky
