Loretta Seals

Loretta Seals was born on August 12, 1947 to the late Rev. Willie D. and Ora B. Knight in Gadsden, Alabama and departed this life on July 21, 2024. She was raised in Waynesburg, OH from a very early age, graduating from Sandy Valley High School. After graduation, Loretta moved to Syracuse, New York, where she united in holy matrimony to Hyrd Seals. Within that union was born two sons, Cornelius and Phillip. Loretta retired from St. Josephs Hospital in Syracuse after many years of service and subsequently moved to East Canton, OH in 2023.
In addition to her parents, Loretta was preceded in death by her husband Hyrd Seals, a sister, Betty Barner, and a great-grandson. Loretta leaves to cherish her memories sons Cornelius Seals of Canton, OH and Phillip Seals (Nicole Kirksey) of Syracuse, New York; grandchildren Cornelius Jr. and Phillip Jr., great-grandchildren; sisters Patsy Knight, Leuticher (John) Phillips, Andrea, Bernethia, and Darlene (David) Morgan; brothers Brownell, Gerald (Lois), Dennis, Anthony, Kendal, and Dwayne, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
