Loretta Sue Starr

Loretta S. Starr Loretta "Sue" Starr passed away peacefully at her home in San Bruno, California on July 15, 2009 at the age of 87. Loretta was born to Ada and Charles Leslie in Tupelo, Oklahoma on June 1, 1922 and later chose the San Francisco Bay Area to call home for more than 60 years. She is survived by her loving sister, Pat Davis, and numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Loretta loved to spend her time crocheting blankets, baking cookies, and making holiday crafts to give as gifts to friends and family. She is now reunited with the love of her life, Sterling Starr; her three sons, Jerry, Leroy "Ike," and Kenny; her parents; her brother, Clarence Leslie; and her three sisters Mildred Upchurch, Aleta Davis, and Arvella Walker. She was dearly loved and her quick wit and hearty laugh will remain in our hearts forever.
