Loretta Katherine Strothmann
Loretta Katherine Strothmann (nee Piwowarczyk), born Feb. 20, 1933; passed away peacefully on Wednesday December 27, 2023 surrounded by family. She was the beloved wife of the late Virgil Joseph Strothmann and dear mother to Joseph (Marilyn) Strothmann, Marie Strothmann, Linda (Steven) Block, and William (Mary) Strothmann. Loretta was the adored grandmother of Shannon (Nicholas) Strothmann-Gegg, Andrew (Jackie) Block, Mathew (Danielle) Decker, Katherine (Ryan) Jaspering, Ryan Block, and Will Strothmann, and the great-grandmother of Hope, Finley, Riley, Patrick, August, Kaylee, Lincoln, James, and Lucy, all of whom were the central focus of her life.
A faithful Catholic, Loretta had a very full life instilling the meaning of family, tradition, and hard work in those who knew her. She will be remembered for her generosity, compassion, and devotion to her family.
Loretta was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
The funeral will be Friday December 29th at 9:00 am, viewing at 9:00 am in church vestibule, Holy Mass at 10:00 am with burial after mass in the cemetery at St. Monica Catholic Church in Creve Coeur.
