Loretta Villines Winters, 82, of Springfield, passed from this life on Monday January 19, 2026, at Skyline Medical Center in Nashville. Funeral services will be conducted Friday January 23rd at 1:00 p.m. at the Hillcrest Church of Christ, in Springfield, with Brother Johnny Trail officiating. Interment will follow in Springfield Memorial Gardens with Logan Berry, Cory Willoughby, Louis Ayres, Abram Pryor, Jeff Adams, and Jarrod Helms serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Ayres, Bruce Dean, Cohen Pryor, Mark Berry, Jeff Ayres, James Helms, Josie Helms, John Michael Willoughby, Cordell Willoughby, and Sawyer Willoughby. The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 22nd, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Robertson County Funeral Home and on Friday, January 23rd, from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the Hillcrest Church of Christ.

Ms. Loretta was born September 13, 1943, in Springfield, to the late Harriet Clements Villines and the late Robert Villines. She was a member of Hillcrest Church of Christ, where she enjoyed teaching and working with the children, and for many years she taught both kindergarten and Sunday School at Main Street Church of Christ. Ms. Loretta was the scheduler for Grubbs Pest Control for over 30 years. She loved butterflies, watching NASCAR, and she always had a great love for children.

In addition to her mother and father, she was preceded in death by her son: Don Bruce Winters, by her brother: Bob B. Villines, and by her sister: Lynne Villines Hooper. Ms. Loretta is survived by her husband of 66 years: Jerry Winters of Springfield, by her son: Tim Winters of Springfield, and by her brother: Van D. Villines of Springfield.

The family request that memorial contributions be made in Ms. Loretta's memory to Compassionate Friends or to the Potter's Children's Home. All donations can be sent c/o the Robertson County Funeral Home.
