Loretta Ann Yori, 83, went to be home with the Lord on Monday February 5, 2024, at Unity Point Health-Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa. The family will receive friends from 9:30am to 11:00am Saturday February 10, 2024, at Iles Grandview Park Funeral Home in Des Moines, Iowa. Services immediately follow at 11:00am. Burial service will take place at a later date.
Loretta was born on November 13, 1940, in Duncombe, Iowa to Lloyd and Ida (Heslop) Davidson. She graduated high school in Grimes, Iowa. She married Wayne John Yori on February 1, 1975. They were married for 44 years until he passed away on January 17, 2019. Loretta worked for AGI (Associated Grocers of Iowa) in Ankeny for many years. She later worked for Bauer Built Tire in Des Moines, Iowa where she retired from.
Loretta loved sports and was a huge Iowa Hawkeye and Kansas City Chiefs fan. She will be watching this Sundays Super bowl from the best seat in the house! Loretta enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles and caring for her many feline friends. Loretta was a very kind, caring and loving soul. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. She will truly be missed by all.
Loretta is survived by her children Julie (Jim) Hernandez of Des Moines Iowa, Todd Bloomfield of Corpus Christi Texas, Paul (Lana) Ford of Baxter Iowa, Chris DeJoode of Des Moines Iowa, Mike (Dena) Yori of Earlham Iowa, Gina Yori of Ankeny Iowa, her sister Lessa (Chuck) Comito of Dallas Center Iowa, and her brother-in-law Darryl Seibert of Des Moines, Iowa, along with many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Wayne John Yori, her mother Ida Kathryn Davidson, her father Lloyd Edward Davidson, her brother Lloyd Edward Davidson JR, her sister Linda Lou Seibert, and sister- in-law Wilma "Toody" Davidson.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the family in loving memory of Loretta.
