Lori Sue (Gibbons) Badour, 68, of Midland Michigan passed away peacefully on March 2, 2025 after a brief illness.
Lori was born February 24, 1957 in Midland to Jack and Doris Gibbons. She attended Midland High School graduating in 1975. Lori started working at the Dow Chemical Company as a co-op through Midland High and stayed on for 38 years before retiring in 2013.
Lori married Mike Badour on December 4, 2003 bringing along his daughter Meagan and son Chris. Lori enjoyed traveling as much as possible, playing golf, and downtown music nights spent with many friends. Her favorite times were spent with family and especially her grandchildren.
Lori is survived by her husband Mike; daughter, Beth (Ryan) Bartlett of Midland; son, Brian Shangle of Midland; step-children, Meagan (Jim) Nabors of Washington and Chris Badour of Washington, and dog Jake. Also surviving is her brother, Brad Gibbons of Midland; sister, Chev Gardner of Midland; mother-in-law, Grace Lewis, of Midland; sisters-in-law, Debra (Ernie) Isberg of Midland, Lisa (Pete) Kessler of Virginia, Ginger Wilson of Arizona; and brother-in-law Kevin (Theresa) Badour of California; grandchildren, Austin, Madi and Brynlie; nieces and nephews, Kalie, Ryan (Kristen), Emerson, Niki, Eric (Shelby), Kevin (Cindy), Desa, Lindsey (Will), Ken (Stacey) and Ginelle.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Doris Gibbons; father-in-law, Lawrence Badour; brother-in-law Matt Gardner; step-mother-in-law, Elaine Badour, and beloved dogs, Murphy, Bogie and Sissy.
The family would like to thank all the staff at the Toni and Trish House for their outstanding care of our loved one and the support to the family. Per Lori's request, there will be a celebration of life this summer. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the Toni and Trish House of Auburn.
