Lori Batten Obituary

Lori Lee Batten, beloved wife, mother, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 7, 2026, in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Born on August 20, 1961, in Jacksonville, North Carolina, she was a vibrant spirit who graced this world for 64 years.

A devoted homemaker, Lori dedicated her life to nurturing her family and creating a warm, welcoming home filled with love. Her passion for art expressed itself beautifully through her paintings, particularly the birdhouses she lovingly crafted and sold at local craft shows. Lori had an eye for beauty and a heart for creation, which she shared with everyone around her.

She was a cherished member of Bayside Presbyterian, where her kindness and generosity left a lasting impression. Known for her ability to strike up a conversation with anyone, Lori was a kind-hearted soul who found joy in connecting with people. Her warmth and genuine interest in others made her a memorable presence in the lives she touched.

Lori's love for life extended beyond her family and community. She was an avid supporter of various charities, always eager to lend a helping hand to those in need. Her adventurous spirit led her to seek out new scenery and experiences, and she found joy in life's simple pleasures.

Her love for music was evident in her appreciation for artists like Journey and Shania Twain, whose songs provided the soundtrack to many cherished moments.

Lori is survived by her devoted husband of 41 years, Daniel Batten; her loving son, Daniel (D.J.) Batten; and her beloved daughter, Heather Batten. Her legacy of kindness, creativity, and generosity will forever be remembered and cherished by those who knew her.

Lori Lee Batten will be dearly missed, but her spirit will continue to inspire and uplift all who were fortunate enough to have known her.
