I am writing this obituary because I am the only one who really knows me:
I lost my battle with mental illness and alcoholism. I am not a failure; I am just tired. I have fought the fight. I have loved and have been loved. I have had many people (my team) behind me. The words I can say right now to others is that there is hope for each and every one of us. Grab it!!! I waited too long.
I want to thank the following:
Alice, Duane, Kendra, and Heather (my family that never gave up on me!);
My friend Laurie Clark;
Tellurian-C.I.T. –Sydney and Shanna;
First and Foremost-Detox, T.H.P.; my brother LaVern Butson; one brother out of five brothers;
New Start—Samantha Rogers, Dr. Bucknam and all the staff. They all helped me stay alive;
Most importantly is Allen Ellias—he saved my life in many ways. Allen let me learn how to find my way out of my own hell.
***Can’t forget SPORK!!
Please send the message to people that they shouldn’t give up. I am not giving up; I am just preparing ahead of time.
“God speed!”—Lori Butson
