Laurel "Lori" Cartwright passed away on April 14, 2024 at her home in Greenville, Utah with her husband and girls at her side after fighting a nine month positive and courageous battle with metastatic lung cancer. She was born on April 9, 1963 in Milford, Utah to Jimmy and Margaret Ann Williams. She grew up in Minersville, Utah riding her trusty horse Dristan, trying to keep up with her brothers, and riding down the lanes to play with her many friends. She graduated from Beaver High School and after raising her family studied to become a Pharmacy Technician. She married Dan Puffer February 21, 1980 and was later divorced. She raised her two girls, Angie & Amanda, in Northcreek where they enjoyed farming, ranching, and the outdoors. She married Lynn Cartwright on March 15, 2008. They shared a great love and he allowed her to put her touch on his home in Greenville where they enjoyed time together.
Lori was so creative and crafted beautiful things. She created homemade crafts for many family and friends. Her life's work was in her beautiful landscaping in her yard and her beautifully decorated home. She always had a project going to make the next decked out corner. She loved to garden and was always frustrated when she could not get the vegetables to grow. She loved to bottle and preserve her harvests. She was a loyal friend to many and loved to share her talents with them. She had the most beautiful white/silver hair and always had her nails done flashing her turquoise rings (a girl can never have enough turquoise).
Lori loved her daughters and was so proud of them. She taught them to be strong, independent women and raised them to be homemakers like her. She loved to kiss on babies and took the chance any time she could. She loved her siblings so much and wanted to be like each one of them. "5 rolled into 1."
Lori is survived by her husband, Lynn Cartwright; children, Angie (Ryan) Rust and Amanda (Jerimiah) Cooley; grandchildren, Hayden Rust (Casey), Bristol Rust, Gigi Rust, Dallas Rust, Tayte Cooley, Layne Cooley, and Newt Cooley; great grandchild, Ronan Rust; mother, Margaret Ann Williams; siblings, Debbie (Johnny) Smith, Rick (Bonnie) Williams, and Scott (Toni) Williams and sister-in-law Julie Ann Williams.
She is preceded in death by her dad, Jimmy Williams; brother, Jeff Williams; and nephew, Rhet
Williams.
Funeral services will be held Friday, April 19, 2024 at 11:00 am in Minersville, UT at the LDS Church, 130 West Main St, Minersville, UT with a viewing prior to the service from 9:30 - 10:30 am. A viewing will also be held the evening prior, Thursday, April 18, 2024 from 6:00 - 7:00 pm also at the church. Graveside will be held at Mountain View Cemetery in Beaver, UT, 650 East 600 North St, Beaver, UT 84713 at 1:00 pm.
The entire family would like to give a heartfelt thank you for the compassionate care given by Dr. Bryce Perkins and the entire Cancer Center Team in Cedar City. She expressed love and gratitude for each one of you with every visit. The last nine months of memories were made possible by you and we could not be more grateful.

Lori was one of my favorite people when I was growing up. I remember many years of delicious homemade Christmas candy and cookies being delivered by Lori to my family. The horse races will never be the same without her standing on the rail. My condolences to her family and friends.
