A Private Family Service for Lori A. DeVoe, age 64, of Fairmont, MN, will be held at the Lakeview Funeral Home Fairmont. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 15, from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Lakeview Funeral Home. Lori passed away on Friday, September 26, 2025, in Fairmont. The Lakeview Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Fairmont is assisting the family with arrangements.
Lori Ann (Cox) DeVoe was born on May 1, 1961, in Houston, TX. She was the daughter of Tommy Jr. and Mary (Kammer) Cox. Lori attended Baraboo, WI, public schools and graduated from Baraboo High School.
On December 17, 1977, Lori was united in marriage to Larry DeVoe in Baraboo, WI, where Lori was a member of Baraboo Assembly of God. The couple resided in various places including Baraboo, WI, Dallas, TX, Irving TX, Blue Earth and Granada, MN, before moving to Fairmont over 17 years ago. This union was blessed with one daughter, Rebecca. Lori and Larry shared over 47 years together.
Lori worked at a variety of places including Speedway in Fairmont and the Blue Earth Legion and VFW. She was always known to have a smile for everyone who walked through the door. Lori was active with the Granada Women of Today as well as the VFW bowling league in Blue Earth. During her free time, she enjoyed cooking and baking as well as camping, fishing, tending to her garden, and cleaning. Other interests included watching car racing, football, and baseball as well as shopping for a good deal at auctions and antique stores.
Left to cherish her memory include her husband, Larry DeVoe of Fairmont, MN; daughter, Rebecca DeVoe of Fairmont, MN; mother, Mary Cox of Sherburn, MN; grandchildren, Sara, Seth, and Sadie; siblings, Kevin Cox of Moose Lake, MN, Pam Cox of Winona, MN, James Cox of Mankato, MN, Shawn Cox (Leslie Meyer) of Blue Earth, MN, and Shannon (Julie) Cox of Fond Du Lac, WI; other family members, Barb and Steve Lighthort, Karen and Dick Parchem of Houston, TX, Gary DeVoe of Poinnet, WI, Elaine and Gordy Davis of Lake Delton, WI, and Pam and Tyler Titus of Baraboo, WI; and many other relatives and friends.
Along with her father, Tommy Cox Jr., Lori was preceded in death by her siblings, Barb Miller and her husband, Greg, and Francis Cox; and parents-in-law, Boyd and Mildred DeVoe.
