Lori Ann Nickels

Lori Ann Nickels, 63, born on July 15, 1961, in Wichita, KS, entered into eternal rest on February 21, 2025. Lori was a woman of strong character, owning and operating her own printing business for over 20 years. She spent her entire life in the printing industry, a testament to her hard work and dedication. Lori was a proud resident of Clearwater, KS, for many years, where she owned four acres of land and raised her wonderful daughters with caring guidance and wisdom.
Lori was well known and well liked by those in her community. A lover of the outdoors, she was a well-known figure in the Outkasts and Valkyrie Jeep clubs, where she proudly displayed her Jeep, "Plum Perfect." Lori had an extensive collection of Coca-Cola collectors items and loved working with her hands, building things, and spoiling her grandchildren.
Lori's greatest joys in life were her daughters, grandchildren, friends, and family. She took great pride in her children and grandchildren. She loved to cook and entertain. Her home was always full of love, laughter, and enlivening energy. She would spend hours laughing and telling stories. Whether you needed a distraction from the hardships of life or a shoulder to cry on, Lori always knew how to show up for those she loved. Lori also had a deep affection for dogs and cherished the countless memories of time spent fishing and boating at Skiatook Lake, which she referred to as her happy place.
Lori is survived by her daughters, Nicole (Wayne) Hackler and Christene (Seth) Buckley; grandchildren, McAllister and Collin Hackler and Kane, Sage, and Jade Buckley; her companion, Judy Bounds; her special niece, Mariah LeBlanc; and a loving extended family and friends. They, along with all those who knew Lori, will miss her deeply. Her loving parents, Junior Harold and Flora Bell Shepherd, and her beloved sister, Sherry Lynn Danner, preceded her in death and undoubtedly greeted her with eager arms at Heaven's gate.
A private celebration of Lori's life will be held for family and close friends. Lori's memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched.
